The Department of Economics is thrilled to host guest speaker, Dr. Aaron Pacitti, Professor of Economics at Siena College, on Tuesday 03/01 from 1:15-2:30pm. Dr. Pacitti will be on campus to speak about his recent work for Structural Change and Economic Dynamics (Bargaining Power, Structural Change, and the Falling U.S. Labor Share). Dr. Pacitti’s analysis ‘supports the hypothesis that the decline in the labor share is driven by decreased labor bargaining power and suggests that structural economic changes and weak economic performance in the U.S. have increased inequality.’
